What used to be a really friendly and reliable volvo garage that I have used for servicing for years seems to have gone downhill drastically. I'm not sure if it is under new management but the personnel seem to have all changed and the ones I dealt with had been seconded in from their other London branches at short notice. I had my car serviced and was told everything was fine.I noticed on the sheet that they had cleaned the city safety lens as an extra item. It was at the end of the day I collected it and as soon as I drove away every warning light that you could imagine lit up. I reported this immediately the following morning and took it back to them. They said they could find nothing wrong and that it was a "glitch". They disabled all the warning signs and claimed to have test driven it. I picked it up and, yep you guessed it the warning signs returned as soon as I turned the corner. I was told over the phone to try various things (disconnect the battery, give it a few days etc) before booking it back in, in a weeks time! The two I dealt with did not know why I had brought it back and I had to give the same story seperately to each of them. Later at work they called me and said I needed a new closing velocity module at a cost of £900 and that this was linked to all the warning signs and would solve the issue. This of course is the same city safety system that they cleaned during the service. (although a software upgrade now seems to have been the fault). One massively disgruntled customer told them he had no intention to pay for an issue resulting from their service and they simply had the attitude that I should pay or collect the car. So I left with various warning lights on including the airbag warning light. Two days later I had complete failure of all systems and only just avoided a serious accident, recovery had to be called, it was only then that the engineer told me the airbag warning light alone was an automatic MOT failure and the car should not have been released to me in that condition. Appalling service and still ongoing dispute. Approach with caution.
Appointments needed for Sunday. Only one salesperson available. Receptionist could have been more helpful by having some basic knowledge of Volvo motors, but that's just my opinion. Will contact Alex tomorrow instead.
Always a great service, very friendly
A very welcoming and refreshingly pleasurable experience. This is the first time in buying a vehicle that there has been no hard sell from the outset and most importantly, no hidden costs when coming to settle the final amount. Everyone is relaxed, they (all staff) obviously enjoy working here and are confident in their product and service. I wish I had bought a car here years ago, from my initial experience they have now gained a loyal customer.
